Mixing cylinders can be used for diluting solutions and mixing several components in a given quantity ratio. The large hexagonal base with 2 dimples on the bottom increases stability and prevents the cylinder from rolling away. The cylinders have uniform wall thickness over the entire measuring range, which avoids the risk of errors due to wedging and mixing cylinders are described in DIN 12 680 and DIN 12 685.
